2019 NCSA Scholarship Winner Harrison Potts

Harrison Potts

Son of Rose Potts, Blommer Chocolate Co.

A junior at Pennsylvania’s West Chester University (WCU) studying marketing, Harrison says attending an RCI event in Cleveland sparked his interest in pursuing a marketing career in confectionery.

He has also participated in The Confectionery Foundation’s NextGen program during the Sweets & Snacks Expo, which furthered his passion for the category.

During his time at Daniel Boone High School in Birdsboro, PA, he performed with the marching and jazz bands. He has also worked as a musician for theatric productions, playing guitar in the pit. In 2016, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, which required him to complete a service project of installing handcrafted wooden benches at a local park. The project required 171 man hours, during which Harrison managed and led a team of scouts.

A member of WCU’s marching band, Harrison continues to play trumpet and guitar. When not studying or playing music, he enjoys reading, films and trying new foods.
