Stuart Selarnick

Class of 2014

Stuart Selarnick was born in 1960, in Philadelphia.

He joined Frankford Candy & Chocolate Co. as product development manager in 1987, eventually becoming vice-president of sales and marketing. In 1998, he was appointed company president; two years later, Stu was named CEO, he became CEO of Frankford Candy, LLC.

A two-time member of the NCA board of trustees, Stu has been honored by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for his commitment to the city of Philadelphia and the community. Under his leadership, Frankford has twice been recognized among the top U.S. workplaces for employees older than 50 by the American Association of Retired Persons.

Of his selection to the Candy Hall of Fame, Stu says: “It’s made me stop and look back, which is difficult because I’m usually focused on looking forward. Reviewing the inductees from the 1980s and 1990s, I saw so many people I looked up to and learned from early in my career. It’s humbling to be included among people for whom I have so much respect.”
