Spaulding A. Goetze S

Class of 1998

Spaulding was born February 26, 1946, in Baltimore, MD. He attended Baltimore City College and served with the U.S. Coast Guard as a Medical Corpsman. He married Cynthia in 1968 and raised three sons.

As CEO and treasurer at Goetze’s Candy Co. Spaulding served as chairman of the National Association of Convenience Stores’ Associate Board, chairman of the National Candy Wholesalers Assoc./NCA Trade Relations Committee and won an American Wholesaler Marketers Association Dean of the industry honor.

At his induction, he said: Every week, a new memorable moment occurs when you own a family business. A person couldn’t ask for a better job than I have. I have worked hard to get here, but I have loved every minute of the climb.
