Robert F. Buehler

Bob was born October 5, 1941 in Stamford, CT.
His parents Fred and Helen had two children, Gary and Bob. When Bob was about seven years old, they moved to California. He attended Montebello High School, where he played sports and enjoyed working on cars.
In July 1960, after his high school graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. While serving in the Army, he joined the Fife and Drum Corps and had the honor of playing for President John F. Kennedy and his wife, Jacqueline.
Bob was was honorably discharged and married Susan, together they had three children: Kelley, Michelle and Allan. This was when he began his career in the confectionery industry, spending many years at SummitHill Sales & Marketing brokerage.
When his first marriage ended, Bob met Linda, and they married in 1979 and they continued to grow the Buehler family, adding Paul, Paloma and Allyson.
Away from the business, Bob enjoyed gatherings with the family, games, his pets, reading, his career, friends, the outdoors, sports, traveling, the beach, gardening, his pool, random stories and jokes, laughter and plenty of sleep, but above all, he loved his family.
According to Bob’s family: “We can honestly say that in the 50 plus years of being in the confectionery industry, he thoroughly loved what he did every day.”
Bob passed away on October 6, 2020.
