Philip E. Heide

Class of 1991

Philip was born in 1941 in New York City. He graduated from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics. Marrying Susan, they raised three children.

Philip joined the Henry Heide Co. in 1964, eventually becoming executive vice-president after serving as sales manager – bakery and as marketing and merchandising manager.

Philip’s industry honors include being appointed a Dean of the National Candy Wholesalers Association and in 1989 the National Food Brokers Association honored him with its Pioneer Award. He served as a director of both the NCSA and the National Candy Brokers Association and was a member of the Pennsylvania Manufacturing Confectioners Association.

Philip passed away August 23, 2016.
