Morris J. Sloane

Class of 1990

Morris was born in Chelsea, MA in 1914. He began his candy career in 1935, joining Kraft Caramel Co. and later the M. J. Holloway Co. as a salesman.

Following service to his country during World War II he returned to Boston to manage the Kendall Confectionery Company for his brother and fellow Candy Hall of Fame inductee, Nathan Sloan (1975).

Morris eventually purchased Kendall from his brother, growing the company into one of the largest candy wholesalers in New England. Morris also served the industry as a board member of the NCWA.
