James R. Yerkes

Class of 1981

Born in February, 1919, in Rising Sun, MD, Jim was a graduate of Calvert High School and West Nottingham Academy.

As regional sales manager for the Charms Co. Jim dedicated the whole of his 45-year career in the industry to furthering the sale, distribution and enjoyment of candy with all he met. Jim was honored for his lifelong contributions and commitment to the industry with his induction into the Candy Hall of Fame in 1980.
