James Grimes

Class of 1993

Born in Philadelphia in 1929, he enlisted in the U.S. Army after High School and served in a paratroop division. He married Dolores in 1951 and they raised one daughter.

Jim started his career as a sales representative for the H.J. Heinz Co. Three years later, he joined a food brokerage company and began a life-long sales career in food and candy products. As a retail sales manager, Jim received Salesman of the Year awards from numerous manufacturers.

In 1973, Jim formed his own brokerage business, then worked at a number of brokerages before joining Brown, Del Grosso, Morrison, Inc. where he worked at the time of his induction.
