Greg Pappariella

Class of 2008

Greg was born April 18, 1951, in Hershey, PA. After graduating from Hershey High, he attended the University of Notre Dame. He has two children, Erin and Beth.

Leaving the insurance industry, he joined The Hershey Co. in 1978, where he was the Baltimore district manager. In 1983, Greg moved on to Cadbury Schweppes as its Mid-Atlantic region manager and joined Just Born, Inc. in 1989 as national account manager.

He married Linda in September 1994, and three years later, he was promoted to Northeast Division sales manager at Just Born, the position he currently holds.

In 2004, he received the Doc Reed Silver Candy Dish Award, presented to the regional sales manager who made the greatest contribution to candy sales during the year.

Listing some industry mentors, Greg says he received a wealth of knowledge at Cadbury from Clarence “Johnny” Clark, who he identifies as “a teacher, a confidant and a resource that I relied on for several years.”

Industry colleagues say Greg exhibits the qualities of a dynamic and creative marketer, is open to new and innovative ideas, possesses the strength to take risks and make tough decisions, and is fair and honest with a pure sense of integrity.

According to Greg, there have been two keys to his career successes. First, he credits his parents for instilling a strong work ethic and second, having the good fortune of being affiliated with three excellent companies.

In his spare time, Greg serves as the chairman of the financial committee at the Mount Gretna United Methodist Church, he also belongs to the Lebanon Country Club and is a social member of the Hershey Italian Lodge. He formerly spent time as the Sunday School superintendent at the Fishburn United Methodist Church in Hershey, PA. Greg also enjoys traveling and playing golf.
