Fred Barnett

A more than 42-year candy industry veteran, Freddy was born January 15, 1936, in Brooklyn, NY. After attending Chamberlain Vocational High School, he completed his studies at Ben Franklin University in Washington, D.C. Freddy married Stel in 1996 after his first wife, Anne, passed away in 1993. All together, he help raise six children.
Freddy began his career at age 20 as a jobber salesman for Myers Candy & Tobacco Co. He then served as president of Kam Sales Co. and Barnett & Meyers, then vice-president of Chesapeake-Randall Co.’s confectionery department. He also held a series of national sales manager positions with Kol Foods, Inc. I/AM Importers and Sherwood Brands, before joining Ce De Candy, Inc.
He has received the M&M/Mars National Broker of the Year award, as well as Broker of the Year awards from American Candy Co. Leaf, Inc. and Ce De Candy, Inc.
