Born in New York City in October, 1932, Ed dedicated his entire career to the promotion and growth of the candy industry. A graduate of Teaneck High School and Dartmouth College, where he earned his bachelor of science degree, Ed’s commitment to the industry is reflected in his successful, 45-year career with E. A. Berg & Sons, Inc.
In 1979, the New York Candy Club honored Ed’s dedication to the industry, awarding him its prestigious Pincus-Raphael Award. Further recognition of his loyalty and commitment to the industry came in 1984 when he was inducted into the Candy Hall of Fame.
