Bonnie Burgbacher

Class of 1999

Born February 14, 1945 in Wauseon, OH, Bonnie graduated from Fairview High School and attended Northwest State Community College in Archbold, OH.

She began her career at Spangler Candy Co. in August, 1963, following in the footsteps of her mother, who worked at Spangler for 14 years. When inducted into the Candy Hall of Fame 36 years later, Bonnie was the administrative assistant in Spangler’s sales department.

At her induction, Bonnie said there had been many influences on her career, thanking her wonderful parents for their love and instilling in her a strong work ethic. Also, her great co-workers and Doug Taylor, whom she says she was fortunate to work with for almost 17 years.

She said her most memorable moment was being inducted into the Candy Hall of Fame as part of the class of 1999.
