Art J. Jacovoni

Class of 1998

Born September 22, 1945, in Providence, RI, Art attended LaSalle Academy and the University of Rhode Island. He married Martha Garrett in 1978 and they raised a daughter, Lisa.

Art started in the candy industry in 1968, joining the Heyman-O’Gara Brokerage as a salesman, becoming a partner in 1980. In 1986 he joined Zachary Confections, Inc. and was national sales manager at the time of his induction.

Art was a sales rep in the candy industry for more than 40 years, retiring in 2016.

He was an avid skier and enjoyed tennis, golf and fly fishing. He also had a love of reading on a variety of subjects. Of all the things he enjoyed, Art took the most pleasure in his family and many friends.

Art passed away on August 13, 2022, at the age of 76.
