Record Crowd On Hand As 10 Inducted Into Candy Hall Of Fame

Tampa, FL — The Candy Hall of Fame, administered by the NCSA, welcomed 10 members during its annual induction ceremony, which saw the highest turnout since the event’s inception in 1971.

More than 370 family members, friends and colleagues were on hand to celebrate the induction of Frank Amato, Just Born, Inc.; Katherine Clark, formerly of Capol, LLC; Pat Collins, Jelly Belly Candy Co.; Brent Cotton, The Hershey Co.; Jerry Hagedorn, Barry Callebaut; David Han, Triple C Wholesalers, Inc.; Maureen Keenan, CVS Health Corp.; Tim LeBel, Mars Wrigley Confectionery U.S., LLC; Graham Nice, Campbell Wrapper Corp.; and Audra Vogler, Hoffmann Vogler.

The inductees were presented their Candy Hall of Fame plaques and lapel pins during a black tie gala that drew the record-breaking crowd. During the ceremony, video bios of each honoree detailed their work and personal achievements. Following the A/V presentations, the freshly minted Candy Hall of Famers gave heartfelt speeches of gratitude.
“The class of 2019 represents a diverse group of individuals from a range of career paths who have all served the industry with honor, selflessly giving back throughout the course of their careers to strengthen the category overall,” says Mark Lozano, NCSA president. “We are thrilled to be recognizing each of them.”
Highlighting the significance and prestige of the event, more than 50 Candy Hall of Fame members were in attendance to witness the induction ceremony and welcome the 2019 class into their ranks.

In addition to the new Candy Hall of Fame members, the weekend featured the premiere of a revamped NCSA and Candy Hall of Fame logo, an updated website at candyhalloffame.org and visual and engagement enhancements throughout the host hotel, the Renaissance Tampa International Plaza.

Highlights included special branded sections of the hotel for sponsors Mars Wrigley Confectionery U.S., LLC; The Hershey Co.; and Ferrara Candy Co., Inc. Throughout the weekend, attendees were offered photo-ops with the Mars Wrigley NASCAR and Lombardi Trophy, while Hershey served up ice cream sundaes and fresh made s’mores. Candy-themed cocktails were served in the Ferrara Lounge.
