Stanley N. Eisman

Class of 1977

Stan Eisman was born in April, 1924, in Philadelphia, PA. A graduate of Penn State University where he was head cheerleader for the Nittany Lions in 1948 and earned a B.S. in agricultural and biological chemistry, he dedicated 51 years of his life to the candy trade.

Stan began his career with the E.B. Evans Co. in 1948 as food chemist and salesman, a position he held until forming the Eisman-Gleit Brokerage Co. in 1950.

In addition to his induction in the Candy Hall of Fame in 1977, Stan’s awards throughout his long career in the industry include being named a Candy Ambassador by the NCWA and election to the presidency of the Confectionery Salesman’s Club of Philadelphia.

Stan is the father of Candy Hall of Fame member Brett Eisman.

Stan passed away at his home in Delray Beach, FL, on July 12, 2023.
