Edward B. Schechter

Class of 1978

Ed Schechter was born in January, 1918 in New York City where he earned his bachelor of Science degree from the Community College of New York.

With a career that spanned more than 50 years, Ed dedicated his life to the sale and promotion of the industry’s products. An active broker for the majority of his life, Ed served as vice-president of brokerage Abe Josephsohn, Inc. and as a partner in the brokerage firms of Dubin Schechter Newman, and H.V. Schechter Sales Associates.

At the time of his induction in 1978, Ed was retired and living in Coconut Creek, FL.
