George J. Sareyan

Class of 1983

Born in 1916 in New Haven, CT, George is a graduate of Naugatuck High School and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, where he earned a B.S. in economics.

A 55-year industry veteran, George held just three jobs throughout his career, including five years as a part-time account manager at Stockdale & Reagan Brokerage, 15 years as account manager for Barclay, Brown, Kavanagh, and 35 years as exclusive broker to Peter Paul Candy, Inc.

Among the service and honors achieved in his long confectionery career, George served as president of the Boston Confectionery Salesmen’s Club in 1975 and was named an AWMA Candy Ambassador in 1980.
