C. Gregory Spangler

Class of 1992

The son of Charles B. Spangler, a former vice-president – traffic for Spangler Candy Co. and grandson of Ernest D. Spangler, one of the founders of Spangler Candy Co. Greg was a graduate of the University of Michigan with both a BBA and an MBA. Following graduation, Greg worked for Deloitte, Haskins & Sells, now Deloitte & Touche, and received his CPA at that time.

He joined Spangler Candy Co. in 1969 as assistant treasurer, becoming president in 1978 and CEO in 1979. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Confectioners Association at the time of his induction.

Greg and his wife, Mimi, raised three children.
