Arnie Jellison

Class of 1993

Arnie was executive vice-president of T-Bar Brokerage, Inc. Dallas, Texas at the time of his induction. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he graduated from the University of Missouri in 1960. After two years in the Army, he spent five years in banking before joining Mars West (now M&M/Mars) in 1967. In 1971 he took a position as west coast regional manager of Jack Candies, Ltd. a division of Mars, Inc. charged with launching Starburst Fruit Chews, Skittles Fruit Chews, and Bounty Coconut Bar.

Arnie was promoted to marketing director of Jack Candies, Ltd. in 1973 after spending six months in Slough, England, to further develop the Skittles and Bounty Brands.

Arnie joined the Heath Candy Co. in 1976 as national sales manager until becoming a partner in T-Bar Brokerage, Inc. in 1977. Arnie and his wife Penny raised three children.
