James E. Tucker

Class of 1997

Jim was born July 13, 1949, in Bryn Mawr, PA. He attended Holy Name High School and Merrimack College where he received his BA. He married Sandee in 1971, and the couple raised two children, Bryn and Ross.

Jim worked at Luden’s from 1972 to 1974 in a position he described as sales gopher, and then served two years as sales manager for Darmos Candy. He owned and operated Friar Tuck’s Candy Co. from 1976 to 1978, later joining the R.M. Palmer Co. where he was vice-president of sales and marketing at the time of his induction. Jim won the National Candy Brokers Association Silver Candy Dish Award, honoring sales executives, in 1992.
