Alastair C. Northway

Born April 6, 1952, in Hampton, England, Alastair attended various schools, including Canterbury Cathedral Choir School, where he had the honor of singing for the Queen Mother, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. In 1974, he married Barbara and the couple has two sons, James and Adam.

In 1970, Alastair started his career as a legal executive while studying for a law degree. A year later, he gave up law to pursue a career in the candy business.

He joined Cadbury Ltd. as sales merchandiser and became a sales representative in the London area. He then shared his knowledge by joining the Cadbury Sales Training School, eventually rising to the position of national accounts manager. In 1984 he moved to the U.S. where he rose to the position of manager of national accounts.

Alastair joined Callard & Bowser-Suchard, Inc. as national accounts manager in 1989. At the time of his induction, he was northeast regional manager for CB2, a division of Callard & Bowser-Suchard.

Alastair has been honored a number of times in his career, including Cadbury UK Sales Area of the Year, Cadbury USA Best Overall Region Performance and Kraft Foods Superior Achievement Award.

He says he is fortunate to have had great brands to sell, but is quick to point out that having great brokers and customers to partner with were important contributors to his success. He advises those seeking success in sales to work hard, have a high degree of motivation and maintain an unshakeable belief in your products.

In his spare time, Alastair enjoys motorcycling, music and sports.
