Lloyd R. Bryant
Inducted into the Candy Hall of Fame in 1997
A more than 27-year candy industry veteran, Lloyd was born June 27, 1946 in Gastonia, NC. He attended John Burroughs High School in Burbank, CA, and graduated from California State University in Northridge. He married Cheryl in 1969 raised three daughters.
Lloyd worked for American Chicle Group between 1970 and 1980, followed by a year as regional manager for Switzer Licorice. Between 1981 and 1985, he was general manager at Pronto Distributing, transferring to Spangler Candy Co. where he was central sales director at the time of his induction.
Lloyd attributed his success in his induction speech to an excellent family life, loving parents, integrity, honesty and common sense.
